



Leadership skills training was provided to enhance the leadership capacity of female leaders and employees.
In this training, which was given the theme of "Empowering Women's Leadership for All-round Prosperity"!, it was stated that women do not have a problem of opportunity but of ability.
The Addis Ababa Housing Development and Administration Bureau provided leadership skills training to female leaders and employees in the bureau, the Construction and Design Bureau, and the Housing Development Corporation to enhance their leadership capacity.
The Head of the Addis Ababa Design and Construction Bureau, Honorable Engineer Ayalnesh A/Mariam, who made the opening speech at the training, stated that since the change, they have been making a big difference by participating in leadership at various levels and are proving their leadership capacity. He also said that they are expected to enhance their capacity to enhance their leadership role in the future.
The Vice President of the Addis Ababa Women’s League, Ms. Tsednia Girmay, who stated that women’s empowerment is crucial for national prosperity, noted that efforts are being made to build a national governance structure, ensure national prosperity and eradicate poverty, and noted that significant efforts have been made to bring women into leadership positions. She also stated that leadership is essential to realizing change, achieving common institutional and national goals in a coordinated manner, and being effective.
Women have the opportunity to lead, but they do not have the problem of capacity, Ms. Qende explained that a country that does not give equal participation to women cannot achieve progress and prosperity.
Citing the evidence of the increase in the number of women in leadership positions after the change in our country, the head of the institution explained that the fact that institutions led by women are accompanied by results is a demonstration of women's leadership capabilities.
The training also explained that in order to further strengthen women's leadership capabilities, it is necessary to increase women's leadership capabilities, support and empower women leaders, increase women's educational participation, and ensure women's equality.
The participants of the training, for their part, stated that the training provided was of great importance in enhancing women's leadership skills. They stated that since women have dual responsibilities, women are expected to fight against the ideologies that are challenging to leadership and overcome obstacles.
