The Addis Ababa Housing Development and Administration Bureau held a discussion with the general staff and relevant institutions regarding the 2017 budget year performance report and the 2018 budget year plan.

The head of the bureau, Ms. St. George, who opened the discussion with a speech, stated that the institution has recorded many successful works during the fiscal year and that the bureau is ready to do a better job by carrying out the remaining tasks assigned by the city administration.

The bureau has played a significant role in the success of the corridor development being implemented at the city level by modernizing its service delivery and accommodating users, especially by providing replacement houses for corridor development beneficiaries. The head noted that the bureau is sharing its experience and knowledge with various regions based on its performance.

The city's focus in the 2018 budget year is housing development, and the city's esteemed patron saint indicated that special attention will be given to it in the coming year, and that the paperless service that was launched should be strengthened by modernizing the service delivery and increasing the satisfaction of our customers.

During the budget year, it was explained that many works were carried out by providing replacement houses for corridor development beneficiaries; resolving problems surrounding construction for existing housing associations; organizing new housing associations; renewing rental housing contracts; creating a conducive working environment; supporting and modernizing services with technology; working in coordination with stakeholders; and concluding landlord-tenant contracts.

In addition, the 2018 budget year plan was presented and discussed.
